WEDDING
A blessing for the beginning
A couple beginning married life may receive a Buddhist blessing ceremony in the Vajrayana tradition — a sanctification of their commitment to one another and to the path.
THE BLESSING
Two lives, one path
The ceremony is offered before the Buddhas, the lineage, and the protectors. It accompanies — but does not replace — the civil registration handled separately. The temple master meets with the couple beforehand to understand their wishes and the religious backgrounds of their families.
01 — WHAT WE OFFER
The ceremony takes place in the shrine hall before the main altar, with family and close friends welcome. It includes the offering of flowers and lamps before the Buddhas, the recitation of mantra and sutra, the formal blessing of the couple by the temple master, and the dedication of merit on their behalf.
Couples may submit the names of parents and family elders to be included in the dedication — for harmony in their household, for the wisdom to navigate difficulty, and for the merit accumulated through their shared practice.
Marriage carried with sincerity becomes itself a vehicle for awakening — a daily practice of patience, generosity, and the softening of self-grasping.On the meaning of the blessing
